Founded in Germany in 2002, The Child and Tree Fund is an NGO focusing on education, gender equity, connecting classrooms, peace education, child poverty, disaster and post-conflict.

Together with SCF, the two foundations continue to make contributions for vital work in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Liberia, Madagascar, Nepal and North Korea, in an extensive collaboration with UNICEF.

In collaboration with Dr. Patricia Wright’s Centre ValBio in Ranomafana, Madagascar, we implemented a reforestation and education project.  We provided school supplies, developed a tree nursery and taught health education to 2,000 school children in nine villages.  At some schools we started vegetable gardens to benefit community nutrition.

The Child and Tree fund works with UNICEF in Liberia to promote gender equality and the rights of children.

Half of Bangladesh’s children live below the poverty line.  Reaching this hardest-to-reach population is our mission.

We help UNICEF monitor school attendance in Nepal, where youth education is in peril.
